Days, time and location of practices?

We practice Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00pm until 7:30pm at the Chartiers Valley High School wrestling room.

What does my child wear to practice?

Shorts, t-shirt or sweatpants are fine to wear to practice. Each wrestler will need a pair of wrestling shoes. Wrestling shoes are sold at Dick's Sporting Goods, Dunhams, or Amazon. We also have a donation box of gently used wrestling shoes. If you are interested in seeing if we have a size that meets your wrestlers need, please send us an email. If you are not able to find a pair of shoes prior to the start of practice, wrestlers may practice in socks.

What does a practice look like?

Wrestlers are separated into two rooms depending on age and skill level. They are paired with a teammate of the same size. There will be time spent going through drills before spending time doing live wrestling. Drills and live time are determined by that week's curriculum created by the coaching staff.

Are parents allowed to watch practice?

We allow parents to watch practice for the first week or two. After that we ask that parents refrain from entering the wrestling room to help remove distractions from the athletes and coaches.
